Indigenous communities from across the globe gathered in New York City in one of the largest marches in history, over 300,000, to bring awareness to climate change and the protection of Mother Earth. I was honored to be hired by the International Indian Treaty Council http://www.iitc.org to document the sunrise ceremony and the march.
Instrumental at this rally was the leadership of Taino Kacike (Chief) Roberto Mukaro Borrero of the UCTP United Confederation for Taino People http://www.uctp.org. Also, the presence of my Elders and Sisters of Bohio Atabei: Mujeres de la Yuka- http://bohioatabei.blogspot.com- we’re still here!
